In 2025, over 2,500 heritage events took place. Participants can explore sites, skills, and practices requiring preservation and community care.

Inishbofin Regatta 2026 is scheduled for 17 August. Details are not yet available for this year. In 2025, the event featured traditional currach racing in 4 Oar, 6 Oar, and other categories, with registration at 12 noon, races from 1 pm, and a buffet dinner, live music, and raffle at Murray’s Doonmore Hotel.

Connemara Pony Show 2026 takes place 18–21 August in Clifden, Co Galway, celebrating 101 years of the festival. The show features in-hand, ridden, and working hunter classes, plus a puissance competition.
